THE CREST CHILD CARE PROGRAM is an innovative after school program. Time for structured homework help is balanced with arts and science enrichment activities, supervised recreation, special events and much more. CREST staff are highly trained and have extensive background working with children. CREST provides a creative and caring environment for opportunities to play and fosters learning. This unique collaboration between the City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) offers before- and after-school options right at your child's school site. Financial assistance based on a sliding scale is available to qualifying low and moderate income families for all CREST programs.

THE CREST CHILD CARE PROGRAM is a school-based program that brings engaging, high-quality enrichment classes to SMMUSD elementary school sites. Offering classes in martial arts, yoga, visual arts, dance, drumming and filmmaking, this program is available to all Santa Monica residents as well as to those youth who are nonresidents but attend school in the city, grades K-5. This fall, we will unveil a new menu of programs that will include old favorites such as Young Rembrandts and Zenergy and introduce new companies with visual and performing arts classes. Check your child's backpack for the fall catalog during the first week of school, or call 310-458-8540 to be put on our mailing list and receive a catalog at home. Parents may pre-register their children by mail or at the school site in the Upper CREST Child Care room. Participation in the CREST Enrichment Program may be combined with other CREST options, including Child Care and Youth Sports. Financial assistance is available for qualifying families. Students need not be enrolled in CREST Child Care to participate in CREST Enrichment. (Please see Youth Sports for more information on CREST Sports.)
